Cold Sores - These painful sores appear as a result of the Herpes simplex virus. Once infected, the sores will typically reoccur frequently, although for some they are dormant. The sores will disappear in a week’s time usually. This is also known as oral herpes.
Cracked tooth - This emergency can possibly lead to a lost tooth, but if caught and treated in time, a cracked tooth can be reinforced by a dentist to prevent further damage and potential loss of the tooth.
Dry mouth - This ailment is the result of the drying of the saliva, and can afflict many people. This can result from prescriptions to other causes, and can result in soreness and other issues.
Gum disease - Also known as periodontal disease , this can afflict the gums and cause them to withdraw and lower their grip on teeth, or swell and become very painful. It can also result in bleeding gums. These usually require specific medicinal treatment. A common, mild periodontal disease is gingivitis.
TMJ (Night Guards) - This is a chronic facial pain in the jaws or other parts of the face, those parts which a dentist could treat. Once the source of a pain is identified, it is short work to treat the pain. This treatment depends heavily on the ailment
